To living-pterosaur investigators and to those interested

Sighting in Spain
Web Sites
Documentary film: "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed"

I recently received my first eyewitness report of a sighting in Spain.
In Eastern Spain, on a summer-2007 night, an eyewitness saw something gliding over their campsite
and, at first, assumed that it was an owl; but as it flew over the campsite, about 30-40 feet high, the
man realized that it was "definitely no owl" that he had ever seen. The color was "suede/sand" like
the texture of suede, that is "no feathers." The creature had a long thin tail, "held out perfectly straight
behind it." The sighting lasted only a few seconds; he did not concentrate on the end of the tail and
so took no notice of the presence or absence of a flange.
The eyewitness tried to reconcile the creature with a fruit bat (it was "100% not a bird"), despite
the absence of those bats in that region, but he was sure of the long straight tail; he soon gave up
on the bat-idea, not just because of the long tail but because of the beak. He also felt sure that it
was no bird. The wingspan was 2-3 feet.
I'll follow up with this eyewitness. Does anyone else know of any sighting in Spain?

For anyone who noticed a problem with some of the living-pterosaur web sites a few months ago, the
problem seems resolved: images are now visible (at least with Internet Explorer and Firefox). In
addition, the www.ropens.com site has been redesigned, and it now has a site map, including an index:
One of the pages of the ropens.com site examines the "Mesozoic objection" to living pterosaurs:
Why No Pterosaur Fossil is "Younger Than Mesozoic."
Here are two new web pages related to live pterosaurs (AKA pterodactyls):
Replies to hoax-explanations for pterosaur sightings
Living Fossils and Cryptozoology

I wrote a reply to the Los Angeles Times review of the documentary:
Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed
Contrary to what some critics try to portray, this documentary has been highly acclaimed; that
acclaim has come from the viewing public, 74% giving it the highest rating (Fandango Fan Reviews),
which is far better than the viewer-ratings given to the movies "Baby Mama," "Forbidden Kingdom,"
"Nim's Island," and "Prom Night."
I realize that Creation, rather than Intelligent Design, is the perspective for most active living-
pterosaur investigators. The response we have received from media and academia, however,
resembles what has been thrown at I.D. proponents and at those who simply want to treat I.D. fairly.
