Living Dinosaurs and Pterosaurs

Although there is now only limited evidence that Grendel was a Tyrannosaurus Rex or T-Rex type of dinosaur, there are modern-day reports of creatures whose descriptions suggest that this kind of dinosaur is still living (in particular on New Britain Island in Papua New Guinea). In the late 20th and early 21st Centuries, some American cryptozoologists have traveled to Papua New Guinea, searching not for dinosaurs but for creatures that they believe are living Rhamphorhynchoid (long-tailed) pterosaurs. The name for this creature is “ropen.” This giant flying creature may be related to the monster that killed Beowulf.
